Clearing your browser cache depends on which browser you’re using. Here are the steps for the most common ones:
Google Chrome
- Open Chrome.
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Windows/Linux) or ⌘ + Shift + Delete (Mac).
- Set the Time range (choose All time to clear everything).
- Check Cached images and files.
- You can also check Cookies and other site data if you want to sign out of websites and remove stored site data.
- Click Delete data.
Safari (Mac)
- Open Safari.
- Go to Safari > Settings (or Preferences on older versions).
- Click the Advanced tab and enable Show features for web developers (or Show Develop menu in menu bar on older versions).
- From the menu bar, choose Develop > Empty Caches.
To clear cookies and other website data as well:
- Go to Safari > Settings > Privacy.
- Click Manage Website Data.
- Choose Remove All or remove data for specific sites.
Microsoft Edge
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Windows) or ⌘ + Shift + Delete (Mac).
- Choose a Time range.
- Select Cached images and files.
- Click Clear now.
Mozilla Firefox
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Windows/Linux) or ⌘ + Shift + Delete (Mac).
- Set the Time range to clear.
- Select Cache.
- Click Clear.
